Can I build a site with E-Family Sites and then edit it with FrontPage?
Yes, but then you won't be able to edit it with E-Family Sites any more.

I edited my site with FrontPage. Why am I having problems with it now?
The problem is that FrontPage corrupts files with security settings. This is why it is strongly recommended to avoid using FrontPage for editing sites created with E-Family Sites.

How does E-Family Sites publish sites?
E-Family Sites can use FTP publisher for remote file publishing or use file publisher to publish files on the local filesystem or on the network filesystem.

Is it possible to use E-Family Sites to edit an existing website? Does E-Family Sites have an import site feature?
No, you can't import websites that were created outside E-Family Sites. You can only create new sites and edit them later on.

If a user removes a page (or clicks the "Start Over" link that caused removing of their whole site) in E-Family Sites, there is no way to import it from the published site. You cannot just copy user's pages (sites) that were created with E-Family Sites from one place (server) to another to make them work in E-Family Sites again. The only way for users to prevent undesired loss of their sites is to save them with the E-Family Sites Save feature that is available in the Site Settings section.

How do I create a new page?
Click the "Add a Page" button on the top menu.

How do I change my site templates?
Choose "Site Settings" from the top menu. Click "Change Website Color and Style". Select a new theme.

How do I upload images?
Whenever you see this button you will have the opportunity to upload images. Click the button. On the next screen you will click the "Browse" button which will allow you to find the images on your computer to be added to your website. Once you have found your images click the button. Your images are now uploaded to the server and are available for your use.

Are there additional images available inside E-Family Sites?
YES! We've made available a large number of images for your use. Everything from animations to business graphics to icons are included within E-Family Sites.

Can I create a new site without losing my old site?
You can save up to five different versions of your site. Make sure the names you enter reflect changes between versions. Attention: Before retrieving a previously saved website, save your work! If you don't save your current project, you will lose it. E-Family Sites can work with only one site at a time.

Warning: Starting over will DELETE ALL PREVIOUSLY SAVED SITES. To start a completely new site, you need to register as a new user.
Note: Saving your web site will not publish it. To publish your site, click the publish link at the upper left-hand corner on the menu panel.

Can I work on my site from any computer with an Internet connection?
Yes, as long as you remember your username and password you can access both the control panel and E-Family Sites directly through any Internet browser.

Where is the documentation for E-Family Sites?
E-Family Sites comes complete with context sensitive help files, meaning that wherever you are in the process all you have to do is click the help link for instructions on exactly what you're doing.
